O Morto is the name of the project set up by Argentine winegrower Matías Michelini when he settled in the Galician town of Ribadavia. A total of 4 hectares of old vineyards planted with native varieties that are cultivated with fully environmentally friendly agriculture.
This is a village wine made with Godello grapes sourced from Castrelo do Miño sub-zone in the historical Ribeiro region. Vineyards that grow over decomposed slate and granite. Depending the specific micro-climate of each of the vineyards, the grapes have been picked at different stages of its maturing cycle to ensure both acidity and rich aromatics. The wine was fermented in stainless steel where it was aged for 9 months in contact with its fine lees. Expect a textural white with great concentration of citrus, white flowers and baked green fruits. Its mouthfeel is fluid and fresh, pure reflection of where its grown.
