Vinos en Voz Baja is a small project in Aldeanueva de Ebro in Rioja Oriental. Winemaker Carlos Mazo is one of a generation of young, thoughtful producers further driving change towards authenticity and vineyard/terroir specificity. The main focus of Carlos is Garnacha - the variety that was historically predominant in Rioja Oriental. 
 
Costumbres Tinto is a village wine made from Garnacha (>90%) with a small percentage of Tinta Velasco and Tempranillo. The whole fruit is foot trodden in wooden and concrete vats, fermentation is spontaneous and the ageing happens in oak and concrete vessels for 12 months. Fresh, elegant, red fruit driven with citrusy note.
