𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 is a family-owned winery founded in 2000, headed up by a husband and wife team: Josep Maria Vendrell and Núria Barceló. The family vineyards are located in the little village of Marçà within the D.O. Montsant, in southwestern Catalonia (North-eastern Spain).

They own three vineyard plots; Mas d’en Crusta, Mas d’en Joan Gros, and Pedrenyeres. The grapes, Grenache and Carignan, are sourced from the family’s oldest vineyards, planted by their ancestors. Josep controls the vineyards every day to understand the needs of every single vine.

The couple has also planted new vineyards in the last 15-20 years. All the vineyards are treated with organic systems and controlled by the CCPAE (Catalan Council of Agrarian Ecological Production). Josep Maria and Núria are working towards leaving a better legacy for their three children, focusing on achieving high-quality wines loaded with personality and self-expression.

Serè is a dry wind that comes from the interior of the Iberian peninsula, preventing the development of fungal diseases as it ventilates the vines and dries them out. The label reflects the tribute to the elderly people, the ones who planted the varieties Garnatxa and Carignan that adapted very well in the Montsant region.
