Vinos del Viento was founded by Michael Cooper and his wife Rosario. Born in Santa Barbara, California, Michael has had the opportunity to make wines in several wine regions, especially in Aragon, where he and his wife have built their own winery in Campo de Borja working with indigenous varieties. Vinos del Viento, is a name inspired by the strong winds in the Ebro River Valley that can often reach 50 kilometers per hour, the ‘Cierzo’ wind. Michael has been a pioneer in the area, making wines from single vineyards with old vines, which he believes are “unique treasures to preserve and share with the world.” In the vineyards they are applying the most sustainable techniques, excluding chemicals, using renewable energy, collecting rainwater and other.
