Outstanding representant of Georgian amber wines made from 100% Tsitska grapes from Imereti region. Tsitska is an ancient variety from the western Georgia. The wine is produced by an ex-cardio anaesthesiologist, Dr. Eko Glonti, that started his natural wine project Lagvinari in 2011 in Kakheti and soon became one of the most well-regarded Georgian winemakers around the world with wines listed in Michelin starred restaurants. His winemaking philosophy includes great care towards chemical-free vineyards, limitless curiosity to grow and vinify indigenous grapes of every corner of the country and exclusive use of qvevri for all wines produced. His medical background supports the idea of health benefits of grapes skins and long maceration.
All stages of vinification take place in qvevri. The wine doesn't undergo fining or filtering.
Bright amber colour, dry fruit skins and chamomile aromas, round but attractive acidity with earthy finish.
